Annabelle graduated from Whitireia Community Polytechnic with a Craft & Design Diploma. She has been a practising artist since 2001 and works with a variety of mediums to create innovative artwork for contemporary interiors. Born in Tauranga (Bay of Plenty), Annabelle is of Ngati Pukenga and Scottish descent. She works from her studio based in her hometown of Martinborough (Wairarapa).

Annabelle’s work is based on the fundamental design elements and principles of raranga (weaving) – a traditional Maori art form. She is drawn to the use of pattern and their origins. This understanding enables her to stretch possibilities with non-traditional materials and explore modern concepts.

She has created bodies of work for exclusively themed solo & group exhibitions. Her work has sold to local and offshore collectors.
